Operation Manna campaign

We were in Lincoln for an interview and training to be exam invigilators for the UTC today. Nice to be “dressed” in respectable clothes rather than painting gear.

When we finished we went to see the Dutch bulb mosaic in the cathedral grounds. It shows a Lancaster bomber dropping food supplies in Nazi-occupied Holland in April 1945 as part of Operation Manna. It’s a beautiful display. An elderly gentleman who was viewing had been a member of the team loading the aircraft at RAF Binbrook in Lincolnshire.

On the way back to the new house we did some more “bits” shopping.

We are sleeping at the new house again tonight as we have an early "visitor" tomorrow morning. The dogs have made sure that I am kept busy!! Pippa has ripped the ear off her toy dog and Lottie's duck is almost headless. They will survive for another day!!
