TOUCH WOOD

The guitar I spoke about yesterday. CC routed out two slots as deep as he dared either side of the "truss rod" - which in this case is a 10mm square steel tube which runs through the neck as reinforcement - then I fitted the two Mahogany insets & sculpted them down to respect the original shape.

You can see that this neck has been smashed twice before & repaired by enthusiastic cowboys. The owner lent it to a clumsy eejit who smashed it a spectacular third time.

Had to replace a decent piece of the rosewood head plate (other side) - should give it a decent new life...
