Metaphorical

A walk down to the marina and back for lunch in some pretty blazing heat. Just after I'd taken this it was commented on by my partner that I'd taken a photograph of some desolate wasteland on the occasion of our 25th anniversary of being together. I quipped back summat along the lines of "Yeah, baby! It's metaphorical. Y'know?" I almost got away with it. I think that's why she's stuck with me all these years. The banter, it's got to be the banter...
