United we stand.
The chap in the middle is Mick Whitmarsh and we were all attending the funeral of his wife today, a sad occasion of course but apart from us there were lots of family and friends there.
The two of us flanking Mick, Me and Den Rees, spent almost the whole of 12 months in the same 4 man room when we were stationed at RAF Masirah, Oman, in 1968-69. That means we have been friends for 46 years. When we were reunited about 4 years ago it was as if we'd never lost touch in the first place but with the speed at which we used to move around in the RAF it was inevitable that you lose touch. Thanks to the internet we got back together.
The big chap on the right was also there at the same time, he was RAF Police (Snowdrops) and Vic, on the left, was there in 1971-72.
Our 'Uniforms', by the way, is the dress for the RAF Masirah and RAF Salalah Veterans Association.
