Hopwas Hideaway

Took oldest daughter and her little family to a B&B in Hopwas to celebrate their second wedding anniversary - such a gorgeous place - I think we did well choosing on the internet - it's right next to the River Tame, has an indoor swimming pool, a paddock with horses, and the breakfast looks superb - each table has its own toaster...

Husband and I then went for a circular walk along the river to Tamworth, and then back along the canal, but first we had a picnic of salmon, cream cheese and cucumber sandwiches, plus some rosé. Saw about 40 swans on the river - two of them were mating - looked like ballet.

Such a glorious English day.
