The quarantine centre at Los Monos was reserved for any animals who needed to be segregated from people and/or other animals. The only inhabitant was a Capuchino Blanco monkey called Abuela who was absolutely nuts. Having apparently been rescued from a horrible woman who had abused her as a pet, Abuela only liked male humans and went crazy if a girl went into the quarantine centre. Unfortunately this morning there were no guys around to give Abuela her food, meaning that one other girl and I got given the task by Irene. Abuela went totally crazy but after spilling half her food on the way in we eventually managed to slip the bowl into her cage and run away.

In other news, chopping masses of fruit every morning and not being allowed to eat any ourselves was proving pretty grim after days of rice and eggs/beans!
