With an even worse throat than on Sunday, I decided against going into the jungle to start volunteering with the animal rescue centre that I had organised to go to. Instead I spent the day watching even more Walking Dead and lounging around the $10 private room I had bagged in the hostel. A walk up the hill to buy some water and dinner brought me to this stunning view out of Banos and towards the Amazon.
