Red, White, and Blue Day.

Red, white and blue day at school today, and at the Brownie party tonight. This is my contribution to the tea party this afternoon. There was some discussion in the line of 9 year olds this morning as to whether the posh sandwiches should have the skin cut off their cucumber? It makes a pleasant change from talking about the plague, and other Tudor diseases that have captured their imagination this term.
Had to take my very worried son to the orthodontist this morning, expecting to have a temporary brace fitted, only to find it was just going to be photos, and no teeth taken out any more. He never spoke a word but waiting at some road works, he pointed out the workmen were dancing, at least that made him smile. Shame we were both so stressed we never thought to photograph them, would've been a good blip.
