The gardener

This was one of many gardeners tending the flowers and trees in the Kenroku-en garden in Kanazawa this morning. The gardens were beautifully laid out, flowering trees and shrubs , little waterways, stone oaths and bridges. We only had a hour there , but I could have stayed there all day in the sunshine.
Later on we visited a Samurai house before we took the express train to Kyoto to catch the bullet train to Hiroshima, where we are staying for two days.
