Flights get earlier

So change of Airport going to Aberdeen today so now going from Gatwick. Problem with that is it takes off 45 minutes earlier than BA from Heathrow. What's the benefits it only takes me 30 minutes to get here rather than an hour and the flight only costs £80 instead of BA £350
