Midget rhododendron

This is our smallest rhododendron , not more than roughly 2 feet high. It is very old and hardly grows. I didn't think much of it, and last year I suggested to my wife that we should take it away. But she said "no!" rather vehemently. This spring she was rewarded with an abundance of pretty blue flowers.
