Bid For Freedom

Before I started redecorating the dining room, I spotted this poor Peace Lily in my Daughter's hall. It was looking very pitiful, so I offered to sort it out and this is what I found when I removed it from its pot. No wonder it was struggling! 

I found a larger pot and some new compost and just as I was about to rehome it, this root made its bid for freedom. I know just how it felt later, after I'd spent the entire day painting....especially when a friend rang from the Highlands and told me that she'd been out walking in one of my favourite areas.
