Arrived at school today and another of my colleagues had seen my post on Facebook about wearing a blue shirt for Burma so together we raised awareness around the department staffroom! The story goes that a political prisoner continued wearing a blue shirt, which was his prison uniform, every day upon his release. He pledged he would finally change it when the country released the rest of its political prisoners. A year ago today he died, in his blue shirt, with many still behind bars. Since 2014 the number of politically motivated arrests has risen by 600%! Burma's not on the up after all.

I had an observation from my tutor at King's today. I believe it's my last formal university observation. Thanks to God, it went well! My year 8s were delightful: they did me proud. So nice to get it out of the way, and now I can concentrate on my towering pile of marking!
