Not far now

These two rowers in their kayak were paddling determinedly towards the landing point by the Turf Hotel - a local pub on the river Exe estuary.  I had got up to photograph the swans that were sleeping at the landing point when I spotted them coming in.  The swans made a quick exit,  the men landed and quickly headed off in search of their drinks.

Its been another beautifully sunny day and we spent it visiting two of the pubs and other places we visited yesterday searching for my lost cards.  They were not found but my husband did not complain as we ended up having lunch in a third pub, and sampling the beer in two of them.
