Cat's Back

We cut short our walk today, usually we walk for a good 2 hours when we go up here, but Poppy was beginning to look a bit distressed. I know she isn't good in the warmer weather, today it was very warm, there was no shade and every dip in the ground, which usually retains rain water, was empty. She even started digging in one to try to get some water. I made her lie down for a bit in the heather then we walked back to the car, it didn't take too long. Luckily I had plenty of water in the car, they were VERY pleased.

I'm thinking of buying her one of those dog backpacks so that she can carry water around with her, she drinks so much, there's no way I can carry enough for them both. Today was fine as we weren't that far from the car, usually in the summer I try to stick to walks alongside streams, but I didn't think it was that warm today.
