Use your loaf
We, or more accurately I, am going through a 'making bread' phase. Andy is having to eat the stuff like there's no tomorrow. This is my third loaf in two days which is a wholewheat, spelt and milk combo. It's not perfect but it's a million miles better than the bread I made when we lived in Manchester, which even the ducks rejected.
I got the basic recipe and instructions from an art event run by two Emily Carr students- Show Me How. The general gist was that you drew a skill, for example How to plait hair, and then you chose a new skill to take home with you. Hence now making bread. This one is 1/4 organic due to the pricy Spelt flour, according to my Mum that's what the Romans used to make their bread. She doesn't think it can have been much good, I'm inclined to agree as this one leans towards the rock side of softness. The best thing about this loaf is the 'H' on the top and the lovely smell filling the kitchen for the last couple of hours.
