Week 16 is leaf week. My last picture was only six days ago and the difference is striking. It’s the same in our garden where the apple tree also has lots of tiny pale leaves. Those ones shelter the beginnings of blossom buds almost as pink as this child’s jacket.


I suspect bike trailers are a bit of an Oxford thing; I don’t know how common they are elsewhere. Here dedicated child-carriers are not unusual, the double trailer for delivering conference lunches is a bit of a speciality, while the sort of flat trolley I sometimes use to haul rusty metal to the recycling centre is commonplace. Such a right-on place. The rickshaw taxi business flopped, though.
