Spilled Milk

Last night I went to a live podcast taping of "Spilled Milk" at Seattle Town Hall. Spilled Milk is a podcast about food with a comedic bent. I had read one of the host's (Molly Wizenberg) book, Delancey, about building a pizza restaurant in Seattle. Since I love making pizza, I like to do reconnaissance missions to pizza restaurants in the area to steal recipes. Delancey is a pizza joint I really like with it's wood-fired ovens and thin crust. I really enjoyed reading Wizenberg's book and cook some of the recipes she included.

Though I had never listened to "Spilled Milk," going to the taping was a lot of fun. I don't remember when I have laughed so much. The show was on "sack lunches." Wizenberg and her co-host, Matthew Amster-Burton, made each other a sack lunch typical of what they would bring to school when they were in the 4th grade. It was a lot of fun trying to understand Amster-Burton talk with a mouthful of peanut butter.

This photo will remind me of this fun night.
