Bonjour!

Obviously doing a PhD just isn't stimulating enough for my brain. Obvs. So why not start taking adult ed French classes?

Tonight was our first class, Alex and I went along not entirely sure what to expect. I've never really done any French, and Alex only did it in school so we thought the beginners class would be most suitable. And it was really rather fun. Our teacher is a mad French lady who is putting a lot of emphasis on pronunciation and understanding the parts of words, so we can converse and make up our own sentences, not just use rote-learned phrases. It's only a seven week course, and if it continues like tonight it should fly by!
