Yellow

A little break from my desk to walk the pooch this morning.  Forget mystery vegetables, the only crop in town this year is oilseed rape.  Fields and fields of the stuff.  And I can recognise it.  Which makes a nice change.

If I was trying to pass myself off as a country girl I'd tell you that oilseed rape is a break crop and it is grown to improve the yield of the crops which are sown after it.  It is also used to produce vegetable oil and biodiesel.  Even country girls have to resort to Wikipedia for some things. 

Off my own bat I can tell you it smells.  And that I still haven't decided if it's a nice smell or not.
