The Magical Nature of Water
I am always so fascinated by the different way that raindrops gather on different plants......this pink grass that grow beside the road and the river is perhaps one of my favourites to capture when its raining........there is something so fairy like about how the water collects on the fluffy fluffs.
There is a poinsettia in the garden and the water looks like mercury...all silver and bright sitting upon the dark green leaves.
I remember living in Kashmir (quite a while back now) and I would get out in the Shikara (a bit like a canoe with heart shaped paddles that I could never work properly) just to paddle around amongst the Lotus flowers...which were lovely but not quite as magical as the silvery drops...(like a silver pearls) of water gathered in the centre of those generous and beautifully shaped leaves.
Yes its been raining here today...we have moved from sarongs and thongs (flip flops) to jeans and boots in a matter of a day...how crazy our weather is.
“A thousand prickling tender touches lit upon her, as if she was caught in a rainstorm and the raindrops were love.”
