A Perfect Sunday

What a lovely, relaxing Sunday filled with the love and laughter of good friends, sunshine, cake and aviation.

This photo is a typical view at Headcorn Aerodrome with a Stampe and helicopter in the foreground, Massey Ferguson tractor and fuel trucks behind, a convertible car and the parachute club's minibus parked by the hangar and some lovely white fluffy clouds overhead.

What you don't see in this photo is the sheep, lambs and lamas that are dotted around the farm or any of the colourful characters that make up the airfield community.

I baked a batch of lemon cupcakes this morning for my friend's birthday which were hoovered up by my friends in the flying club, parachute packing shed and air traffic.

My four legged friend Honey the Westie dog attracted a lot of attention today and is completely worn out after lots of walks around the airfield. We had a lovely day together and I think she's going to enjoy her holiday with me.

I squeezed in an hour's PR work this evening after my first weekend in five off. It did me good to relax and my only grumble is another week would've been better but it's just not possible working as a freelancer!
