Wrong way!!!!

Standing in the kitchen, idly admiring the sky as I cleared up, something suddenly felt very wrong, totally discombobulating. It took a moment to realise the clouds were speeding past in completely the wrong direction.

This is the British Isles. I'm standing in the geographical central wind-tunnel of Scotland with hills to the north and south of me funnelling the prevailing westerlies off the Atlantic and across my patch of sky to the North Sea and Scandinavia!!

These clouds are rushing south-west, as if escaping the chill north for a short break in balmier climes.
