Cousins

Lots of cuddles from James today and while Kyra may be getting a cuddle in this picture Josh is in charge and again manged to be the first to hold his cousin. Keen to show that he wasn't just there for the good bits of babies he showed a lot of interest in nappy changing, my first in a number of years but it did seemed to be a bit like riding a bike and I think I got away with it ok. While Kyra very quickly stopped looking awkward holding a baby and began perfecting the gentle baby rocking action that becomes a reflex action when you stand still with a tiny one in your arms, Josh had a very manly talk with Uncle Lyall about the finer points of bottle sterilisation  and the technical details of the pram. On the way home in the car Josh explained exactly what had to be done to look after a baby and put himself in charge of all aspects of baby care except nappy changing, nappies were Kyra's with him as assistant! I've no idea who he thought cared for him as a baby because he seemed to think this was all new to me.
