Deceptive appearances

With a morning to fill in Croydon Sam persuaded the adults to take him to a place to look at reptiles, as he has his heart set on a gecko  (thanks Henry and Ross).

My heart sank as we approached the tiny shop and I expected the worst: dirty smelly cages and listless unhealthy animals.   I couldn't have been more surprised, Croydon Reptiles a new business was spotlessly clean and the owners Mark and Sam helpful, patient, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.  We spent at least an hour in there and Sam got to hold some of the inhabitants.

This is a gargoyle gecko & I was unexpectedly impressed with him, as I was with the shop, .
