Magnolia Huntin'...

My favourite springtime activity - and the blooms didn't disappoint at the Botanic Gardens today, despite the lunchtime clouds.

It felt good to get out with the DSLR - been far too long - and I've been getting increasingly frustrated with just my AyePhone shots - a sense of having to "make do & Snapseed" for each pic, rather than actually applying any photography skill. 

Such contentment, just wandering around photographing the magnolia and the cherry blossom - blissfully lost or mindful intent - whatever it was, it was wonderful. You can find the best of the rest here in the other place. if you'd like to see.
