Grey Plover(Summer plumage)

This Grey Plover has been transformed, I photographed one in my Wadi and had trouble being able to focus on it, this was because of its incredibly effective camouflage(but very nondescript grey flecked winter plumage) Now look at him! He's a stunner, especially against the aquamarine sea of Masirah. He lead me a merry dance to photograph him though, choosing to move to the very dangerous 'sabkha' which is treacherous to drive on, being crusty topped salt flats, but wet boggy sand underneath. I had to abandon the car and walk dragging my super camp chair with shade and my camera equipment, it's 40 degrees now even early in the morning. Still love it though!
