Pros At Play

After three days of volleyball images featuring men I thought it appropriate to show some women players today. Fortunately both our women and men pros were running an early morning practice which allowed me to capture some outstanding images of these amazing athletes. I have said it a number of times before, but the game they play is very different than the game I (and most of my compatriots) play. Shown here is Emily Stockman, along on her first ever SOB trip, going after a ball that most mortal players would have let hit the sand. Love how the light plays across her face and the intensity of her expression. And yes, she did get the ball and her team won the point.
