Irony, fashion faux pas or deliberate?

It was the British Orienteering Championships today in the Forest of Dean. The weather was great, sunny, but enough wind to stop you overheating. This young 'man' was running to the finish dressed in a very odd way. I don't know if he had lost a bet and had to run like this on his course. The 'tasteful' combination of Union Jack Hat, fluorescent jacket and camouflage trousers made him standout. The orienteering was well suited to the good runners and those who had the good fortune to see when people ducked in to get 'bingo' controls. I lost more than 5 minutes looking for a control lying on the ground. Gutted.
