Avocet

Went on a walk round  Leighton Moss, Silverdale, Arnside and Morecambe Bay. I would have liked to have got a better shot of the avocets but it was a very sunny bright day and it was hard to get a good exposure. I enjoyed watching them though.

The physiotherapist came to see me on Thursday to get me off the crutches and back on my feet. (The normal 6 weeks after the operation appointment. ) My family thought this appointment to be quite funny because I could manage to walk without crutches before I left the hospital!  The day after the hip replacement!

The physio told me that she felt shocked and frightened even because she had never seen anyone recover so quickly. She said she didn't know what I was made of and it was beyond everything she thought she knew. I should have made her a cup of tea or something. She looked a little white in the face. 

I have been on a few walks over the past few weeks but didn't take my camera because I was trying to concentrate on the exercise aspect. I did take the camera to Yarrow last Sunday and got shots of a dipper but the bird was too small in the frame so I didn't blip it.
