Raise the Shield

It's that time of year when, as the bugs start to come out, the macro lens comes into its own. Used it more than the 500mm on a nice walk in the sun today.

Isla and Big Ginge seemed to have come to some sort of an understanding this morning. Not entirely happy, but sitting near each other without coming to blows. Later in the evening Isla decided she wanted to chase him away after all. Probably just as well, given I saw for myself how fixated he gets on the chooks when they're out, even in the face of water form the hose....

Anyway, fetched brekkie in the morning, did some work on one of the bikes and a little gardening, got out on a walk, bought some gin, visited George and fixed something on his phone, made dinner, relaxed. Though I do still need to clean up the kitchen...
