Bionic Knees

Mike in the picture has 2 'bionic' knees following partial knee replacement surgery in November and December 2014.  Today he walked up his first Lake District Hill - Outerside, more importantly he managed to get down again as well!
We were in the Lakes marshaling on a race called the 'Teenager with Altitude'.  Our checkpoint was on Outerside (CP2), after the runners had been through Stewart and I swept the route as far as Grasmoor before returning over Eel Crags and Sail back down to Stair.  
We stopped for a lunch break on the ridge between Eel Crags (Crag Hill) and Sail and then admired the view back towards Keswick.
