What a gorgeous sunny day. The sort of day to be outside, up a hill or by the coast.

I, however spent it gardening and doing house stuff.

I ventured out briefly to visit the art gallery and bought this bowl. It's by a fine art student from a local college. I really like his work, particularly his 'every day' type bowls.

Also today, I found some photos I was looking for, from when I did my PhD.

Looking through them I realised that:
- The 1990s weren't kind to glasses wearers
- We went out. A lot.
- I'm old
- They were stressful years, but also good fun
- My hair was a fantastic colour

Sad too though to see amogst the photos, the smiling faces of two friends who sadly died far, far too young.
