Bargain!

Yesterday, last year's gardening gloves gave up the ghost, after great service!

This morning, we went to the tattie-scone-yoga venue, Craigend Nursery,  for breakfast & some quick colour for patio pots.  And the first thing I spied was the reduction to half price of my favourite gloves.  Now that's what I call a real bargain.  So a new pair for the neglected garden and a new pair for the cottage!

It was only as I created the blip. that I saw in the image a reflection of why gardening is life-enhancing:  you start with characterless, pristine white leather and end with a holey, grubby experience old glove, but you have earned every crumb of dirt and pleasure.

And there's a chance that you still have fingernails as well as roses!
