Ready to bloom!

This is a bud on the tree (a Sugar Maple)  that I planted in honor of my Mom. She died 2  1/2 years ago at the age of 94 after several years suffering from Alzheimer's Dementia. We call it "Nana's tree". The life that carries on in this tree is precious to me. I await it's new life each year and feel my mom closer every year as it grows and blooms. I miss her. We had our moments.  But I feel her life in the buds.
