Hey Mike, these new radios are a great match for our penguin outfits!

One issue we've found with the house, or house-and-garden really, is that we are often out of earshot, even at SHOUTING VOLUMES.  We'd used S's cheapy walkie-talkies to try and compensate but the continual interference from taxis, hams and hill walkers was a right pain.

Thus, we've purchased some more discriminating ones.

Busy day today in preparation for a gathering of friends tomorrow. Yesterday's bonfire was still ticking over, so was fed yet more prunings. Paths cleared of logs; yet another car load of rubbish dumped; other logs chainsawn and stacked, and cakes baked.

Expecting M tonight, which will bring the whole family back together for a couple of days.
