Flooded causeway...

It's been another amazing sunny day in Northumberland, wall to wall warm sunshine, just stunning! We went to watch the causeway flood as none of us had ever seen this happen. The crossing was dry today up until about 40 minutes after the 'unsafe warning.' We walked to the bridge and watched just how quickly the water started to move...After about an hour after the warning the road was starting to flood but cars were still going across...we thought maybe locals who knew what they were doing. The road looked pretty flooded and then - and we really couldn't believe this - a car came across from Holy Island. It was one of those 'can't watch/must watch' moments. The water/tyre splash came above the car and how they managed to see the road I have no idea...Heart in mouth we watched as they crossed, many comments/opinions were given by fellow watchers but they made it. Why would you even try? As they drove away, water was pouring out from under their car...lucky people. This was the view half an hour later...
