So that's what it looks like

I'd only cycled up the track under the Kips and it was a night ride. Day off to catch the end if the boys holiday. We'd arranged to meet up with another family for walk. They brought two more friends so three adults and six children set off from Silverburn. The clouds were skimming the tops when we set off up South Black Hill. Picnic on the top ducked down out if the chilly wind. Then on to Scald Law. Lots of running on the way down. A bit of protest from a couple of the kids at the bottom of the Kips but they all trudged up and over. Then a sunny walk back round on the track. Both our boys just got on with it and D did especially well as the youngest by 2 years. C enjoyed seeing his first wheatear and I got to hear more curlews. Excellent expedition.
