Trip to Inchcolm and the Three Bridges
We made good use of my day off and the spectacular weather. We took the train out to South Queensferry and then the Forth Belle to Inchcolm where we visited the Abbey and had a wander around. The abbey is absolutely wonderful. We managed to have a quick look at the WWII fortifications. My only complaint is that there is nowhere near enough time on the island - only 1.5 hours or so. On the way back we saw more seals and some puffins. Then wander around in South Queensferry where I took a few panorama shots (processing now). Then walk across the Road Bridge to North Queensferry where we had chips. An excellent day - the major downside is that I ended up with an excessive amount of photos (the panos didn't help). Got them sorted now and if you are curious you can see them on flickr.
