The Olympia - Glasgow

Fabulous weather today.  Not complaining for a change.

An architecture shot today. 

The Olympia was built in 1911 as a major theatre venue.  After a few years it switched to films and was an upmarket cinema.  The cinema closed in the 1970s and it continued for a while as a Bingo venue.  It finally closed in the late 1990s and was left derelict for many years during which it suffered a bad fire. .  A rescue package was put together and it reopened in 2012.

The ground floor is now a library
