Greenshank

The Greenshank is possibly one of my favourite birds, very elegant, a long slightly upturned beak, pristine white body feathers and delicately patterned wing feathers. I look forward to seeing this bird as he is always there, poking in the mud quietly. This bird is also very tolerant of other birds and seems to like the company of the Glossy Ibis and the Redshanks. A real beauty!
