Blip Star!

Early blip for me because I don't think I will get a better shot today. This duckling looks like it want's to be a blip star, what do you think? ;-)

I don't know if this is the same group of ducklings that I saw yesterday as they were on the stilling pond rather than the main reservoir. I caught them crossing over the path to the water with their Mama, as she was being chased by a drake who pounced on her in the water. She swam off across the pond and hid with the ducklings under a willow. The drakes were still interested in her for a while, but she stayed put.

As I was leaving I noticed a Marsh Harrier flying around and seagulls had flown over before as well. I know it's a part of the natural world but it still seems cruel when the ducklings get caught. I suppose it because they're so cute.
