Watery end to the week

No, we haven't had any rain yet, though I guess a lot of you have - it's coming though! And in the middle of my working day - made heavier because of the double bank hols coming up - I had a nice but crazy lunchtime, in which, among other things, I managed to get in a quick blip of this really lovely water lily. I didn't think they came out till later, but that just shows what I know. The kind of white halo behind it is water from a fountain landing in the pool. The image reminded me a bit of 19th century paintings or embroidery/tapestry designs - more Rousseau's rainforest than Monet though. And yes, it's another flower, but it's also a working day, so there we are. The weekend should be different!

I was totally blown away by all your lovely comments and stars yesterday. I know there are some people who I haven't thanked properly for hearts and to those of you I've failed, can I say a huge thank you now? It was just wonderful and I felt a bit overwhelmed! I shall raise a glass or few of Pimms to you all this weekend...
