Kingfisher

I was not very mobile today so just went for a short stroll along an estuary pathway. It was a gorgeous autumn day and as the tide was in I didn't expect to see much in the way of birds. 

I was wrong. Two ducks were snoozing on the path, a heron landed on a half-submerged branch beside the track - almost within touching distance and best of all, this kingfisher sat in the branches quite unconcerned that I was nearby.
