Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford

I went with the Oxford Photographic Society on a tour around the Sheldonian Theatre. It's not really a theatre as we understand it, but modelled more on the Theatre of Marcellus in Rome. It's now used for ceremonies such as graduation and conferences. Anyway, it's a great place for photography and the cupola at the top of the building offers some good opportunities for roof-level pictures of Oxford. This picture is of one of the windows that illuminates the main auditorium. I like the striation patterns in the old glass used in these windows, and I thought it made for an interesting image.
