Belarus

This is a display of nuts for sale in the Belarusian deli near where I live. Came in to by tvorag which is basically cottage cheese that you mash up with yoghurt or milk and sugar or sour cream till it's smooth. It sounds disgusting but it's a huge staple of the Russian diet. It's also the equivalent of the scone scone (sc-o-ne vs sc-oh-ne) argument because you can say either tvorag or tvarohg which is very unusual in Russian where stress is fixed.
