Tree of Our Life

This beautiful Eucalyptus meliodra (honey scented) is indigenous to our area. It was planted quite close to our house as a 6 inch sapling with a good tap root 42 years ago. It now towers above our family compound and threatens the destruction of the house and pool with every storm. It is so quintessentially Australian in its noble grandeur. So, I can relate to Jolang and her little tree that grew.
