Not Your Average Cardinal!

Dude! What the heck happened? Really, I have no idea. Can he be molting? Granted, it has rained all day. All. Day. Long. And hard. So all the birds coming to the feeder rock looked a bit disheveled. But this guy... well. Totally over the top. Or without a top. I do hope he grows his topknot back soon, because he really looks silly.
