Still freezing cold and wet but we managed a good, long walk during a dry spell. Coco behaved as though it had been days since her last walk, not just yesterday, and ran enthusiastically up to every dog that we saw and tried to engage them in a game of chase. Unfortunately there were few takers and the naughty beagle entertained herself by having a roll in duck poo! It's never good when you start to shampoo the dog and the foam that forms is green, never mind she's sparkly clean now.
As Josh was getting ready for bed the telephone rang, from the conversation they could hear the children very soon deducted that Uncle Lyall was delivering the exciting news that their first cousin had made an appearance - cue comedy farce as they ran up and down the stairs screaming in excitement and demanding more details while, with finger in ear, I tried to find out more. A little boy called James meet with Josh's approval and he then started to reel of a long list of things he wanted to teach the wee lad, Kyra and I are going to make a priority teaching him not to take everything his cousin tells him too seriously. Josh really is over the moon about being a big cousin, I don't think he's going to go to sleep tonight. I'm pretty excited too, congratulations Fifi and Lyall.
