River Estuary
Another wet and overcast day - but the drizzle stopped mid afternoon and I ventured out onto the breakwall not expecting to get any photos at all. It was cold and windy out there so I didn't go all the way to the end and decided to head for the car. I wasn't expecting any sunset at all but just as I was about to head home I could see a bit of colour showing in the west. It was too cold to hang around for long but this was better than grey water and grey sky. You can see the remants of the original Middle Wall constructed from 1862 to try and tame the river mouth and make the Bar safer for shipping which was the main source of transport in those days. The weather report is not good - more rain expected tomorrow and all weekend so I may not be blipping for a few days by the sound of things.
